Amanda catches Walter talking in a mirror, she finds out he has a job as a night time radio jockey and is preparing. It is 8 AM.
Walter is falling asleep at 11PM. Amanda on her way to go to a club, sees him and doesn't want him to lose the job so he can pay rent. She gives him a foreign, now banned energy drink Fuerte Fuel, he is hesitant but drinks it. "What's in this stuff?"
Amanda gets back home and turns on the radio, she hears Walter on the radio, his online personality of "The Captain" is cheesy and he seems more energetic than normal. She calls the station and prank calls him anonymously.
Amanda is woken by Walter at 6AM, ecstatic that the drink worked. "What's in this stuff!?" Amanda groans and goes back to sleep.
Amanda reawakens at noon and Walter has cleaned the entire apartment. He's busy washing the dishes. When she puts down her glass on the coffee table Walter appears out of nowhere, snatches up the cup, and washes it.
That evening Walter is crashing. He begs Amanda to give him more Fuerte Fuel. She retrieves them two bottles from under her bed, but makes him promise to clean the bathroom, normally her chore. Secretly she is also hoping to keep him employed.
The next morning she finds Walter pouring Fuerte Fuel bottles (which he took from her room) into his cereal and drinking it alongside. She takes a look around the apartment and smiles.
Walter comes in the door with a hamper of clean laundry. He grabs a sack of dirty laundry and pauses for a moment. "Exactly how much laundry do you have?" he asks. "Loads," Amanda responds. He leaves. Moments later there's a knock on the door, a neighbor is there with a bag of laundry and a wad of money. Amanda takes both and thanks them. She goes to what used to be Walter's room and lounges back in a lawn chair and a cocktail, counting money.
Walter's radio show gets more erratic and Walter is in a sleep-deprived and hyper-caffeinated state. He does an awful show and gets fired.
I like Ed's idea. It would be really funny to hear Walter yelling at security guards trying to escort him from the property. This could pretty much imply that he is being fired without saying it. The camera could be focused on Amanda's reactions as she listens at home, which could be pretty priceless considering she is the one responsible.

I wonder if in the end walter should be rambling but in his state forgot to turn the microphone on.

ReplyDeleteWhat's his radio show about? Relationships from a guy's POV? He starts talking about this "girl" he knows and bashing her lifestyle etc.
