use the "handsome male college students" what if Amanda flirts with them and that also is bugging Walter.
In an alternative with the idea Bob pushed with us heavily is to get in late and get out early. Walter comes in and Amanda has all this stuff filling up the apartment, some boxes but she's already taken a lot out. It might offer some visual gags etc. Just get right into it with them fighting over it. Then when you have exposition come out its within conflict and it works better.
The characters see a bit too passive and things are just flowing along. Maybe more buyers coming in could really play on Amanda.
